The kick off for the Female Spring Tackle Series, will be on Saturday the 7th of October.  

Below is the latest information:

 

                              Spring Tackle Series Registration –

Please be aware everyone (Players, Coaches (please make sure you register as a coach and not a volunteer), League Safe Runners, Sports Trainers, Managers & Volunteers) to re-register as of now, this means that when you register now you will be covered for the 2018 season also.  There will still be no additional Player/Team fees (Registration or Insurance) from the NRL WA for the Spring/Summer Series as we are playing it in 2017, though the clubs still may wish to charge players for any additional playing gear/strapping items that is required for the competition.

Thank you to all clubs that have let NRL WA know their updated information, below we have adjusted the number Teams per grade.  Can Alkimos / Joondalup and Willagee / Fremantle please let me ASAP what Team they will be playing under for the purpose of the upcoming Competitions, that way we can complete the final Draw this week.

 

·        Under 14’s –

                              Competition  –

 

·         NRL WA wants to produce a weekly Newsletter for the Female Tackle Series, so please for the first issue which we will produce and post on Friday the 6/10/17, Each Team MUST supply a photo of their Captain and a maximum of 2 sentences from their Captain about why they are looking forward to playing in the Spring/Summer Series.

·        We spoke about a 9 a side competition for the Under 14’s, though the feedback is we will be able to 13 a side, so please keep this in mind for your Under 14’s numbers.

·        Preliminary Finals will see the Top 4 Teams play off against each other (1 v 4 & 2 v 3), the winnings teams will move to the Grand Final & the 2 runner ups will play for 3rd and 4th place on Grand Final Day.

 

                              Available Grounds – We will require 2 fields to be available as the plan is to have all 12 games at the one ground each week to make each Saturday a Carnival atmosphere day.

 

·        Rockingham                     – are good for Saturdays

·        North Beach                     – still checking with the Local Council

·        Willagee                            – still checking with the Local Council

·        South Perth                      – due to refurbishment their fields will not available at the start of the series, though they could be used on a later date.

·        Ellenbrook                         – Are good for 2 Saturdays

·        Kalamunda                        – not available in Spring/Summer

·        Mandurah                         – do not have 2 fields

Key Dates –

 

·        Friday the 29th of September all clubs to have a Full Team list for each of the Grades they are participating in. Please note that all Teams will require the following so they can enter the season:

§  1x Accredited Coach (IGC or above qualification)

§  1x Accredited Sports Trainer (Level 1 or Level 2)

§  1x Accredited League Safe person (Water Runner)

§  1x Team Manager

§  All Players must be registered through playnrl.com

§  Teams will be required to submit team lists each week by 9am Thursday before each Saturday game.

§  Please note that we strongly encourage that each Team have a different person for each management role within the team.

·        Referees Course – Still TBC at this stage.

·        IGC (Coach) Course: One central Location – Saturday the 30th of September  10am – 2.30pm Location Fremantle Roosters Club House.

·        Level 1 Sports Trainer Course: October Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th, each Club to send me a list names of who would attend, by Thursday September the 28th or please register now at www.playnrl.com  

·        The Season would run from 7/10/17 to 09/12/17 (The start date is locked in though the length of the season will based around how many teams are in each age group)

·        Saturday the 7th of October First weekend of the Spring/Summer Female Tackle Season.

·        Saturday the 21st of October is the Referee’s Presentation Day, so I was wondering if everyone would like to play on the Sunday the 22/10/17?

·        Saturday the 11th of November will not be a General bye now we will have games on the Saturday before the World Cup games on Sunday the 12th.  

·        Saturday the 25th of November will be a bye due to the Touch Junior State Championships 

·        Saturday the 2nd  of December would be the Preliminary Finals

·        Saturday the 9th  of December would be Grand Final
