2025/26 RISE Rookie Academy Information

• STARTS – WEDNESDAY 26th November – 6pm

  • FEMALE 15-18 (Born 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008)

• Players will be tested during first week and last week to see how their athletic ability has progressed in this time period from November to March. They will be tested on; Medicine ball throw, bronco test, broad jump, 20 meter sprint.

• Throughout the time period of RISE ROOKIE, they will be given FREE ACCESS TO CLASSES at SPARQ FITNESS with PERSONAL TRAINER TRAVIS HANEY. (Players that have trained closely with Travis last few seasons have gone on to make CAS and play first grade).

• They will be provided with workshops focused on mechanics to increase athleticism (e.g. jumping, sprinting and other explosive movements).

• Provided with coaching from staff involved with our Pathways programs (ASSRL 16’s coach’s, CAS 18’s Coach’s and State Womens/Men’s program). This ensures they get access to Youth Development Coach accredited coach’s from our Pathways programs in preparation for 2026.

• RISE field sessions will run from the end of November to February, then at the conclusion of the program, participants will be split into North vs South squads and given the chance to contest against each other in a 3 game series in March.

• Once the program is completed, we shall select the WA U16 ASSRL boys and girls squads as well as U18 CAS boys and girls nominations.

• The program is ideal for those looking to have a successful pre season and are aspirational in making the WA ASSRL U16 Boys and Girl Squads as well as the CAS U18 Boys and Girls squads.
