Campbell-Gillard confirmed as Ken Allen Medal guest

NRL WA are proud to announce Penrith Panthers and NSW State of Origin forward Reagan Campbell-Gillard as the special guest for the 2018 Ken Allen Medal Awards night on Friday.

The 25-year-old won’t be making the trip West alone, however, as he will be bringing the State of Origin Shield with him.

New South Wales’ starting prop for Game One 2018 at the MCG, Campbell-Gillard ran for 99 metres, made one tackle bust and completed 23 tackles as the Blues claimed an emphatic 22-12 win to set up a 2-1 series win.

Unfortunately, a broken jaw sustained during a Round 15 clash with the Sydney Roosters ruled the Australian international out of the remainder of the series.

Campbell-Gillard recovered in time for a Round 22 return against the Gold Coast Titans where he ran for 149 metres, made three tackle busts, assisted a try and completed 27 tackles.

The forward’s return helped the Panthers to a fifth-place finish and a Week 2 Finals exit to the Cronulla Sharks.

A former Penrith SG Ball player, the road which Campbell-Gillard has travelled should be an inspiration to our young West Coast Pirates stars and we can’t wait to welcome him to our prestigious Ken Allen Medal Awards night on Friday.
