Cash Converters WA Reds Take A Share Of The Points

The Cash Converters WA Reds went agonisingly close to their first victory of 2012 against the Cronulla Sharks. The Sharks started the better of the two sides taking the share of possession and territory in the 1 st half. The Reds took time to find their feet but scored on halftime to go in at the break on 2 Pt’s adrift. The WA Reds certainly started the second half a different team buoyed by the late first half score they quickly assumed control of the game with tries form Fou Tagillima and Halvor Harris. They opened up a 14 – 8  lead which they held well. Cronulla scored to get within 2pts. The Reds looked like they would hold on for the win but had their hearts broken when the touch judge spotted a Red’s indiscretion giving the Sharks the chance to square things up which they duly did.

The WA Reds can take heart from this game the Sharks came to Perth unbeaten so far and didn’t look any better than their Perth counterparts. The Reds have clearly turned a corner since the previous round and can look forward to a competitive season ahead.

This week the team is on the road again, they will face table toppers Balmain at Concord Oval Sydney.
