Clarkson Rugby League Academy

Three players from the Clarkson Year 9/10 Rugby League Academy have made their school form count on the representative field by making the WA Rugby League Under 15’s State Schoolboys side. Club coaches and selectors recognised a significant improvement in core skills and fitness levels of all students from Specialist Schools.’

Clarkson Head Coach Sean Majanggil commented ‘We are really proud that Kawana, Amos and Damo have made state, they are great leaders on and off the field and have been rewarded for a lot of hard work put in over the last two years. I hope they have a successful competition for WA in Canberra later this year.”

All three players went on to play important roles in a 2 point victory over last year’s minor premiers and grand finalists Atwell College putting their Year 10 campaign back on track. Man of the match was Amos Manu, younger brother of former WA Red SG Ball prop Sisa Manu, scoring a crucial hat-trick of tries.
