Please ensure you follow the below State Government Interim Restrictions for the Perth & Peel communities.

NRL WA Management met today at 11.00am Tuesday April 27th to review 2021 Perth Junior & Senior Competitions planned schedule that also include options for the ANZAC Challenge.

In light of the recent three day WA State Government covid-19-coronavirus-latest-updates imposed lockdown and its impact on our 2021 Season , please note the following important information :

  1. The Anzac Challenge – Perth City V Perth Kiwi event that was postponed last Saturday will be going ahead this Saturday , 1st May , at Webber Reserve , Willagee [Subject to Interim Restrictions for Perth & Peel] Whilst we await further instructions from the WA Government as the week unfolds, we are proceeding with confidence that the day will go ahead with Covid safety protocols in place.
  2.  As a result of the rescheduling of the Anzac Challenge to this Saturday , we will be amending the start of our “Fuel to Go & Play” Perth competitions [ Seniors & Juniors] to the weekend of May , 7,8 & 9. We will absorb one of the bye weekends to ensure we do not lose any fixtures/rounds from the original draw. Caleb Reedy [NRL WA Competition Coordinator] will communicate this information ASAP.
  3. Tackle Ready Program – Reiterating Gus Marshall’s [ NRL WA Lead Game Development Officer] email this morning that the commencement of the Tackle Ready Program will alter from this week till next week.

We hope this provides more clarity to allow you to plan & prepare accordingly , pending any further Government updates.

Any questions please reach out to the Team at NRL WA.

Thank you & best regards,

John Sackson
NRL WA General Manager
