The first premiership of the 2018 NRL WA season has been decided, with the Ellenbrook Rabbitohs Rugby League Club taking out the inaugural Battle of the Burgers competition after a hard-fought win over the Fremantle Roosters in the final.

Having beaten the Alkimos Tigers and Joondalup Giants on route to the final, Ellenbrook’s ‘Bunny Burger’ took out the title with 52% of the vote over the ‘Rooster Burger’.

With over 3,300 people taking time to vote during the final, the inaugural Battle of the Burgers will stay long in the memory of all die-hard rugby league fans.

NRL WA would like to thank the Western Australian rugby league community for their support of this new initiative and look forward to having more competitions in the future.

The initiative came about as a great way for NRL WA to recognise the great work done by our club canteens.

Over a staggering 11,150 people voted during the seven-week-long competition – a sign of how passionate you all are about your clubs.
