Results from the Senior Preliminary Finals
Saturday 5th September
First Grade – Fremantle Roosters v Rockingham Sharks – Eager to book their place in next weekend’s Grand Final, Fremantle shot out to an early lead scoring at will to pile on sixteen unanswered points in as many minutes. Trying to get themselves back in the game the Sharks lifted and crossed for a couple of tries but not willing to surrender their lead the Roosters hit back and went into halftime ahead 34 – 20. It was more of the same in the second half with Fremantle dominating possession and never allowing the Sharks a chance to stage a fightback. At full time the scoreline showed a comfortable 54 – 24 victory for the Fremantle Roosters which sees them taking on reigning Premiers South Perth Lions in the NRL WA 2015 Smarter than Smoking Premiership Grand Final on Saturday 12th September, at George Burnett Park Karawara.
