NRL WA to host fourth Harmony Cup and NRL Community Programs
NRL WA and the Rockingham Sharks Rugby League Club will host a reduced Harmony Cup Nines Tournament, commencing Friday 26th to Sunday 28th February 2021 for Senior Men’s, Senior Women’s and Masters over 35 categories before getting back in line with the preferred post season event from October 29th and most excitingly will include junior age groups.
This Harmony Cup will be held at Lark Hill Sportsplex, Port Kennedy aiming to once again see communities represented such as Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji , Great Britain , Indigenous , Maori , New Zealand , Niue , Samoa , Tokelau and Tonga.
NRL WA General Manager, John Sackson said the Harmony Cup was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate a range of cultures that co-exist within the game of rugby league.
“One of the NRL’s core values is inclusiveness and ensuring everyone in our game feels welcome on and off the field,” Mr Sackson said.
“Our annual Harmony Cup is a great opportunity to embrace the many communities and cultures that are part of rugby league in Western Australia and to celebrate our game together.
