Pirates Academy Visit Rugby League Central

The 2013 West Coat Pirates Academy are this week in Sydney to play 3 U16’s Representative games and experience Rugby League at the elite level. The Academy played their first of two games against the Manly Sea Eagles Harold Matthews side on Wednesday going down 32 – 18 after a strong showing in the opening period. The team are to play Manly again on Friday 4pm Forestville Park, Forestville. The boys will wrap up their trip with a final game on Sunday against West Tigers development side.

Apart from playing and training the team is also taking in Rugby League experiences. Today the team visited ‘Rugby League Central’ the home of the governing body and the National Rugby League museum.  The team will also spend saturday morning watching the emerging NSW Blues Origin squad train. This will give them an opportunity to learn from the the best players and coaches in the game.
