Cory Paterson made a sensation return to action last Sunday, grabbing a double for the Toronto Wolfpack after missing the last three months through injury.

The former Western Reds and South Perth Lions star hadn’t played since February due to a torn tendon in his finger and ligaments in his wrist but made a successful return to action in Toronto’s 40-10 win over Halifax.

The former Willagee Bear started on the wing, and will again line up in the same position when his side host the Western Suburbs Magpies this weekend.

Josh Rogers guided the Burleigh Bears to a second straight victory with a 34-18 win over the Papua New Guinea Hunters.

The former North Beach Sea Eagles playmaker will again line up in the halves against the Townsville Blackhawks.

SG Ball Cup

Jackson Topine started in the second row and helped guide the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs to the SG Ball Cup Final with a 32-28 win over the Sydney Roosters.
