Intrust Super Cup

Jordan Pereira had a day to remember – bagging four tries for the St George Illawarra Dragons ISP side!

The former Willagee Bears winger was in fine form as the Dragons routed the Western Suburbs Magpies, and will be looking for more of the same against the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs this weekend.

Super League

Adam Quinlan grabbed his seventh try of the season for Hull KR in a 54-18 loss to Wakefield Trinity.

The former Pirates fullback has been one of KR’s most consistent performers this season, and will again line up at the back for their Challenge Cup clash with the Wigan Warriors.

Bryson Goodwin kicked a goal in Warrington Wolves’ 33-22 win over the Leeds Rhinos last week. The former South Perth Lion will again line up for Warrington when they tackle Cory Paterson’s Toronto Wolfpack in the Challenge Cup.

English Championship

Cory Paterson started in the second row as the Toronto Wolfpack claimed a huge 62-14 win over the Swinton Lions.

Speaking of Lions…it will be a South Perth Lions reunion when Paterson’s Wolfpack take on Bryson Goodwin’s Wolves in the Challenge Cup on Sunday.

Kalyn Ponga was robbed of a stunning try assist in the Newcastle Knight’s 36-18 loss to the South Sydney Rabbitohs over the weekend.

Port Hedland-born Ponga threw a delightful cut-out ball to send Ken Sio over, only for the winger to knock the ball on in the act of grounding.

The try assist would have been Ponga’s third of the game, as he also made three tackles and ran for 82 metres in the loss.

SG Ball Cup

Jackson Topine played the full 70 minutes, but couldn’t guide the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs to the SG Ball Cup title as they fell to a 25-14 Grand Final loss to the Penrith Panthers.

Topine had a great year, however, scoring five tries and kicking seven goals over the course of the season.
