Rockingham SHS Win YR9 Grand Final

The Rockingham SHS Specialist Rugby League program completed the double on Wednesday afternoon at Curtin Stadium by winning the Year 9 Grand Final.

Rockingham beat competition newcomers Clarkson SHS 44-6. Rockingham who have been running their Specialist Rugby League program now for 3 years showed their class in the first half of the game. WA State representative Troy White was in outstanding form scoring 4 solo efforts., also for Rockingham Marcuz Connett had a strong game in the front row with Kayden Martin working overtime in the back row. Clarkson were ably lead by WA Reds Academy member Henare Gillett – Mani.

Clarkson will be apart of the WARL Specialist Schools Program in 2012, Clarkson will no doubt be stronger in 2012 reaching the Grand Final in their first year of competition is a tremendous achievement for both the team and the school.

The Rockingham SHS should be commended on a terrific year after winning both the year 9 and year 10 competitions.
