ROOSTERS – NRL WA Smarter than Smoking First Grade Premiers

In what proved to be fourth time lucky Fremantle Roosters took out the 2015 NRL WA Smarter than Smoking Premiership defeating South Perth Lions 26 – 10. Eager to not let any chances go begging Fremantle shot out to an early lead and held on to go into halftime ahead on the scoreboard 22 – 6.
Hungry for the win after the last three years of being Premiership runners up, the Roosters continued to hold the advantage and were solid in defence of their lead.
South Perth toiled away in their quest for back to back Premierships but Fremantle were up to the task and not about to let their dreams of Premiership glory slip away.

As the fulltime siren sounded and Fremantle were awarded the victory, Captain/Coach Delane Edwards held the First Grade Premiership trophy aloft again since 1997 to the roar of the rapturous Roosters supporters. The Ron Hudson Medal winner for Player of the Grand Final was Fremantle’s Bradley Gibson.
