Rd 16 – Recap
South Perth v Willagee – In a comprehensive victory South Perth outclassed Willagee 100 – 6. The Lions were dominant in all aspects of the game and cruised to an easy win. After what must have been a very tough day for the Bears, a bye this weekend gives them time to regroup and look towards finishing their season on a better note.
North Beach v Kalamunda – The Sea Eagles put on a determined performance and showed their attacking flare to defeat the Bulldogs 70 – 22. Showing glimpses of form at stages in the game the Bulldogs brought their hard and tough brand of footy but were unable to match it with North Beach for the full eighty minutes which saw the Sea Eagles take the victory comfortably in the end.
Fremantle v Rockingham – In the match of the round, it was tight and entertaining contest between Fremantle Roosters and Rockingham Sharks at Ken Allen Field. With the winner holding onto second place on the ladder it was game on and both teams responded in a hard fought game which saw Rockingham take the honours with a 24 – 16 win.
