Dear Schools and Staff,
As we start another big year, we’d like to share a reminder of the programs and opportunities available to schools in 2026. We’re excited to continue supporting student wellbeing, physical development, and community connection through a wide range of offerings –
Introduce your school to sessions delivered either on-field or as wellbeing-focused presentations.
Get your youngsters involved in fun, inclusive events for younger students.
Apply for Sporting Schools, an Australian Government initiative that provides funding to schools to increase children’s participation in sport
Sign up your school to tackle and tag carnivals complete with complimentary training sessions
League Stars Programs hosted on your school grounds!
Professional Development opportunities for your staff.
Our free School Ambassador Program – with perks including tickets to matches and functions, redeemable for one or more of the seven NRL and World Cup matches coming to Perth in 2026
With the NRL heating up in WA this year and the excitement building ahead of the Perth Bears’ arrival in 2027 there has never been a better time to get your students involved in our game.
In saying this, if you are looking for a sport to add into your summer/winter/lightning carnivals, please reach out to see how league tag could be integrated into your day! This would be fully supported by our Game Development Team for free. Including set up, pack down, officiating and assistance with fixtures etc.
To the many schools who partnered with us throughout 2025, thank you for your support and engagement. It has been a privilege to work alongside your staff and students.
For those we didn’t have the chance to connect with last year, we look forward to forming new partnerships in 2026. We understand that timetables for next year may still be taking shape; however, we encourage you to reach out at your earliest convenience to express interest, as demand continues to grow alongside the NRL’s presence here in WA.
Warm regards,
NRL WA
