The WA U15 State team will look to go one better than last year’s effort when they head to Redcliffe, Queensland for the 2019 Australian Secondary Schoolboys Championships, starting this weekend.

WA, led by second-year coach Matt Gowland (pictured above) finished second in Pool B last year – finishing with a 2-1 record before losing the John Allen Pool B Final to NRL Victoria.

In 2019, however, WA are out to go all the way.

With headline names such as Ryan McGloin (Joondalup Giants/Northern Fusion) and Malakai Chase (North Beach Sea Eagles/Northern Fusion) leading the charge, WA fans can expect a strong showing from their side.

WA will compete in Pool B alongside NRL Northern Territory, NRL Victoria and an Australian Secondary Schoolboys Rugby League Invitational team.

Pool action gets underway on Sunday, 30 June where WA take on NT.
